    Know your rights! No to Deportations. Why hold public meetings on Immigration? (first one held on December 19, 2016) The Comité Latino is organizing monthly meetings so the community may be well informed about the situation affecting the immigrant community and other minorities in the country. Thanks for attending, participating, and trying to help. Invite others. Over the next few months we must be alert to the actions of the federal governments and their implications for state and local governments and to keep working so people know their constitutional rights. The meetings will be on the fourth Tuesday of every month.   3. Household Hazardous Waste Event - 7/29/17

    July 29, 8:00 AM - 12:15 PM

    San Mateo County's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program, in cooperation with the City of East Palo Alto, will host three HHW Collection Events in the City of East Palo Alto in 2017. Acceptable items include; acids/bases, aerosol cans, automotive supplies (car batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, break fluids), cleaning products fertilizers, pesticides, flammable liquids, fluorescent lights (compact and tubes), paints, inks, and photo chemicals. Radioactive, explosive, medical and commercial waste is prohibited. To participate, you must schedule an appointment at San Mateo County’s HHW Program: or by calling (650) 363-4718, select option 3. The event location will be disclosed once your appointment has been confirmed. Limit 10 gallons or 50 pounds.
