Measure P
Information About Measure P

September 2016

On July 19th the East Palo Alto City Council unanimously placed Measure P the - East Palo Alto Neighborhood Safety and Vital City Services Measure - on the November 2016 ballot for voter consideration. If enacted, Measure P would generate funding for local projects and vital City services. 

Measure P was placed on the ballot to address priorities the community has identified such as:

  • Maintaining East Palo Alto’s financial stability
  • Maintaining rapid police response times
  • Ensuring a reliable supply of drinking water
  • Upgrading storm drains to prevent flooding
  • Maintaining street maintenance and pothole repair services

If enacted, Measure P would help provide funding to maintain neighborhood law enforcement programs to help reduce crime such as theft, burglary, violent gangs and drug related crimes. Maintaining neighborhood police patrols helps keep our neighborhoods safe and maintain quality of life in East Palo Alto.
