Parks Master Plan

#parksplanEPA

The City of East Palo Alto is excited to embark on a mission to imagine the possibilities for its Parks and Open Spaces.

Why the Parks Master Plan is important

Welcome to the East Palo Alto Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan! Over the next year (2021-23), the City will develop its first-ever Parks Master Plan to guide the future improvements of existing parks and the development of new parks and open spaces. This planning process is fundamentally based on community engagement with existing residents – we look forward to hearing from you through a variety of meetings and events this year and next. All events and announcements will be posted on this website and distributed through the City newsletter and through community groups.

Parks

During this portion of the project, we will examine the existing structures and spaces to understand what is possible.

Recreation

We will develop a plan for recreational activities that provides access for all residents as a key part of the Master Plan process.

Open Space

Whether it be a leisurely walk through one of our parks or a nature run on the Bay Trail, we will identify and develop options for East Palo Alto open space access.

Get Involved!

Here is a list of opportunities for you to get involved and share your thoughts on the Parks Master Plan.  Join us to explore the numerous possibilities for East Palo Alto.
