The City Manager’s Office serves as the Chief Executive Officer and manages programs and policies, ensuring effective execution to support the City’s mission. Within that department, the Community Services Division relies heavily on interdepartmental, inter-jurisdictional, and community partnerships to deliver services that enhance the quality of life for East Palo Alto residents with a focused effort on increasing community engagement. The Community Services Division provides staffing support to the Senior Advisory Committee, including efforts to fill vacancies with committed residents that represent the myriad of skill/talent, community senior interests, and cultural diversity of the community. The Community Services Division also oversees the use and programming of the City’s public parks.

The goal of this Project is to invite qualified professional firms and individuals for engineering services. The City Council priorities included a list of small but impactful parks improvements that must be installed this fiscal year, meaning by June 16, 2026. The selected firm will have mapped out the order of these tasks, and dates by which each will be started, in progress and completed, such that all the tasks are done by June 16, 2026.
