Hi,
I live at 165 E. OKeefe St, near Menalto and the street curves as you enter onto E. OKeefe St from Menalto

Cars constantly speed through the narrow curved street and there are cars parked on both sides, and animals, children and adults can be crossing at any given time since E. OKeefe is a very long street without any cross walks or speed bumps or signs or flashing lights to slow cars down

I've lived here 9 years and have seen many close calls and also experienced them myself, and I've had to call animal control to pick up dead animals that never made it across the street
Even exiting from the 165 E. OKeefe townhouse complex, where I live, is quite dangerous to come out of the driveway with all the cars parked on the street, making it difficult to see when a car is coming, let alone a speeding car that comes out of nowhere
Some residents at 165 E. OKeefe have been hit by cars speeding through on E. OKeefe

This is a dangerous spot and even worsens when it's dark out, and people in general should be slowing down in a residential area but as we know, many don't
I was wondering what can be done about posting Big signs that say Slow Down on E. OKeefe St near Menalto and also along E. OKeefe in general, or providing cross walks and even speed bumps ?

I called EPA non emergency police dept and they recommended that I reach out to EPA City Hall and EPA Public Works and that's what I am doing

E. OKeefe is well known for many vehicles double parking since parking is extremely limited

Thank you for listening
A concerned citizen,
Sandra Stansberry
