Hi,

I submitted ticket #271192e7 6/7/21 and it was closed 6/14/21. The issue has not been fixed.

I work in the east bay and, when I drive home, I can turn left at Bay Rd, Runnymede St, Bell St or Donahue St to reach home at 1946 McNair St.

I prefer to turn left at Bay Rd with my second choice being Bell St as both lights have a left turn signal.

In the past five years, the traffic loops at Bay St and Bell St have become less sensitive to the point that my 1/2 ton Chevy pickup truck no longer activates the left turn signal. I now use the lane only if a car is before or after my vehicle. A normal car appears to be able to activate the loops.

Although #271192e7 has been closed, the problem has not been corrected in the past three months.

On Monday 9/13, I was the last of six vehicles waiting at Bay St for the left turn signal - which did not change even though the traffic lights cycled twice. As the first two vehicles were a motorcycle and a large pickup truck - I assume that they failed to activate the loop -just like my truck.

Please open a second ticket to service/adjust the loops at these two lights and include when Cal-West expects to work on this issue.

Thanks, Keith Woodall.

Sorry to say that since the ticket was closed, I have successfully triggered the left only once and failed to trigger it three times

I have been informed that the City's signal maintenance contractor has addressed the left turn signal issue this week.

Please submit another request if you observe the problem was not fixed.

Best Regards,

Hi. Happy New Year! Any update please? I was stuck behind two full sized trucks, two cars then me three weeks ago. The left turn light did not change until the second truck left the turn lane and we all moved forward. Thanks, keo
