Hello,
I have twice been to the East Palo Alto library in the past week for multiple hours at a time. Once on a Tuesday evening and a Saturday morning. On both occasions there was a strong odor of marijuana smoke inside the library. There seems to be rampant drug use inside the library. there were also a group of adolescents raising their voices playing video games and listening to loud music. I believe they may have been responsible for the drug use too.
Can a local peace officer make a regular patrol visit on a daily schedule to ensure the offenders are put back on their heels and the non-offenders feel safe?
I did not see any peace officers at any time during my visits.
