The homeowner at 2888 Illinois St has acquired a rooster earlier this year that crows loudly and repeatedly throughout the day. It begins crowing around 3:00 AM and continues until around 7:00 PM. I have dozens of recordings of the crowing, with some in the extremely early morning hours of 5:00 AM and earlier. It crows loud enough that it comes through all our extensive efforts at new soundproofing against the rooster and is impacting our health by chronic sleep deprivation. Even driving to work is becoming unsafe from lack of sleep.
The rooster roams right up against the fence, which is the same side as all our home's bedrooms. So far it has been harmful by causing chronic sleep deprivation, but with my wife's pregnancy, the rooster's noise is hazardous or worse to my wife and our baby's health.
We have previously asked the neighbor about the noise he makes, but he refused to do anything about it and told us to call the police.
