Hello,
Drivers are not following the speed limit of 25 mph in front of the Light Tree Apartments at 1805 East Bayshore Road. Since there is a bend in the road on the north side of the apartments and parked cars, it is sometimes hard to see oncoming traffic on the small round mirror when making a left turn with cars going at speeds well above the speed limit. In addition, the parked cars on the south side of the driveway entrance also obstruct viewing of oncoming traffic.
Today, a vehicle crossed the double yellow lines to go around traffic while a car that was making a left turn into the driveway of this apartment complex was waiting for a child to cross the driveway. This driver's impatience could have caused an accident.
Also, foliage that are covering the speed limit signs should be trimmed back. Thank you for your attention to this situation.

Thank you for contacting the police department. I have made all patrol watch commanders and the patrol commander aware of your complaint and have requested additional patrols and enforcement in the area.
I will be now routing the complaint to public works to address the foliage.
