Urban Water Management Plan Update 2020

Project Type:
Water
Project Status:
Completed

Update to the 2016 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and the Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP).

Information:

The City of East Palo Alto is required by the California Urban Water Management Planning Act to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and an associated Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) every five years. The purpose of the UWMP is for long term water resource planning; it ensures that sufficient water supplies meet existing and future water needs. The City made the draft UWMP and the draft WSCP available for public review and held a public hearing before adoption. The community was given the opportunity to give input on the City's method of determining it's urban water use target, the City's implementation plan for meeting said target, and any impacts to the local economy from this implementation plan.

The draft 2020 UWMP may be found here and the draft 2020 WSCP may be found here.

The final version of the 2020 UWMP may be found here and the final 2020 WSCP may be found here.
