Press Release - Attempted Murder Investigation

East Palo Alto Police Star

 

On Thursday, August 17, 2023, at approximately 8:29 PM, the East Palo Alto Police Department responded to 2415 University Avenue for a Shotspotter activation. Shotspotter had detected at least 5 shots in the area.  The responding officers located a male adult suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso area.  The victim was immediately treated and transported by ambulance to a local hospital.  The victim is listed in stable condition.   

 

Early indications are the shooting was not related to any activities at the City Hall or Library.
