USA vs. Paraguay — Join the City of East Palo Alto’s Party of the Summer!
East Palo Alto is coming together for the City’s only and official soccer watch party for the big match!
On June 12, we are transforming the Los Robles-Ronald McNair Sports Field into the ultimate watch party as the USA battles Paraguay for the global soccer tournament win.
The community is invited to come together for this free viewing party with live music, food trucks, games, giveaways, youth-led soccer clinics and scrimmages, a community showcase, and a dedicated futures zone.
- Watch Zone: Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and grab a seat on the lawn or bleachers to watch the big game on a 15x9 screen, high time live performances, DJ sets, inspirational speeches and win giveaway prizes from the main stage!
- Community Zone: From food trucks to a community showcase, make new friends and keep the old.
- Futures Zone: Designed and led by youth athletics and students, participate in soccer clinics, scrimmages, a design challenge for the future you want, and hop around in the San Jose Earthquake’s inflatable field!

Is this event free?
Yes! This is a free, family-friendly community event hosted by the City of East Palo Alto.
Who can come?
Everyone is welcome. This is an all-ages event open to the entire community and beyond. Bring the whole family.
Do I need to register or RSVP?
Registration is strongly encouraged, though not required. The first 100 people who do register and attend will be eligible for door prizes. Doors (field gates) open at 5 PM. RSVP HERE.

Where is the event?
Los Robles-Ronald McNair Field is located at 951 O'Connor Street, East Palo Alto, CA 94303.
Is there parking available?
Parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the following lots.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. Los Robles-Ronald McNair Field is ADA accessible.

The Schedule
What time does everything start?
- 5:00 PM — Field opens; food trucks, community zone, and Futures Zone activities begin
- 6:00 PM — USA vs. Paraguay kickoff (game projected on a 15×9 ft screen)
- 9:00 PM — Event concludes
What if the game goes into extra time or penalty kicks?
We've built buffer into the evening. If the game extends, we'll keep the energy going until things wrap up or 9 PM, whichever comes first.
Can I come after the game starts?
Absolutely. Come whenever you can — activities run throughout the event.
What to Bring
What should I bring?
- A blanket or lawn chairs (no spikes) for comfortable seating on the lawn
- Layers — evenings in the Bay Area can be cool
- Your enthusiasm and #EPAvibes!
What is prohibited?
To keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone, please do not bring:
- Alcohol (this is a family-friendly event)
- Personal grills or open flames
- Dogs or other pets (service animals welcome)
- Drones or commercial recording equipment without prior City approval
- Weapons of any kind
- Illegal substances of any kind or harmful chemicals
- Hoverboards
- Fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics
- Aerosol cans or pressurized containers
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages in sealed containers are welcome in the Community Zone, however not on the field. Food trucks will also be on-site serving a variety of options.

Will there be food available to purchase?
Yes! Multiple food trucks will be on-site. Payment options vary by vendor — cash and cards are typically accepted.
Is there free water available?
Yes, water stations will be available.
Are there options for dietary restrictions?
Food truck offerings vary. Check back for a confirmed vendor list as the event approaches, or plan to bring your own snacks to accommodate specific dietary needs.
Activities & Programming
What's happening in the Futures Zone?
The Futures Zone is a youth-designed and youth-led space featuring soccer clinics and scrimmages, a design challenge where you help imagine the future you want, and the San Jose Earthquakes' inflatable soccer field. It's free and open to all ages.
The Futures Zone is designed and facilitated by youth athletes from East Palo Alto’s Ravenswoods Juniors Soccer Club in partnership with the Futures Commission.
Will there be giveaways?
Yes! Prizes will be given away from the main stage throughout the evening. Stay tuned for announcements during the event.
What's happening in the Watch Zone?
Expect live music performances, DJ sets, inspirational speakers, and giveaway announcements throughout the evening – and the big game, of course!
Will there be activities for young children?
Yes — activities and games throughout the event are fun for all ages. Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event.
Safety & Community Guidelines
Is this a safe, family-friendly event?
Yes. The City of East Palo Alto is committed to hosting a welcoming, inclusive, and safe event for everyone. City staff and community volunteers will be present throughout.
What is the policy on alcohol?
This is a family friendly event. No alcohol is permitted on the premises.
What if there is an emergency?
On-site staff and first aid will be available. In case of emergency, dial 911. Event staff can be identified by [insert description — e.g., EPA logo vests/shirts].
What happens if there are significant weather concerns?
The event is planned as an outdoor event. In the case of significant weather concerns, updates will be posted to the City website.

What is the code of conduct policy?
Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, threatening or violent in nature, including verbal or physical harassment:
- Conduct that is illegal
- Conduct that results in damage to the venue or other personal property
- Displaying signs, symbols, images, using language or making gestures that are threatening, abusive, or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, ability, and/or sexual orientation
- Displaying signs, symbols or images for commercial purposes or for electioneering, campaigning or advocating for or against any candidate, political party, legislative issue, or government action
- Possession of an unauthorized pyrotechnic device, smoke or firework or other Prohibited Items*
- Throwing objects of any kind, including streamers
- Failing to follow requests from venue staff regarding field operations, policies and emergency response procedures
- Irresponsible use or consumption of alcohol or other substances
- Any behavior that otherwise targets other fans or interferes with other fans’ enjoyment of the game
Any fan who violates any of these provisions may be subject to penalty, including, but not limited to, ejection.
Media & Photography
Can I take photos and videos?
Personal photography and video for non-commercial use is welcome. Please be respectful of other attendees, especially children.
Will the City be taking photos or video at the event?
Yes. City staff and contracted media may photograph and film the event for use in City communications and promotional materials. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed. Contact commservices@cityofepa.org if you have concerns.
