Request for Proposals: Street Sweeping Service
The City of East Palo Alto's Public Works Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide street sweeping services throughout the City. The selected contractor will sweep residential and light commercial streets on a regular schedule, collect and haul away street debris, and be available for unscheduled and emergency cleanups. On average, the City sweeps about 114 center-line miles each month and collects roughly 650 tons of debris a year.
Firms must have at least five years of street sweeping experience, preferably with a city comparable in size to East Palo Alto. The resulting agreement is expected to be a not-to-exceed, per-task contract, with work beginning January 1, 2027.
